What was your first job?
First job as an adult was working in a sports store, but I had jobs from when I was 10, paper boy through until 14 then an offsider on a delivery truck through to 18.
Who are the people that have made the biggest difference in your career and why?
Harry Reed (Reed Property Group) who gave me a massive opportunity to get involved in his hospitality business and also his Charity Organisation because it enabled me to be financially independent but also gave me an opportunity to give back to the community.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Give 20% of your time or your income to the less fortunate, as well as everyone you meet deserves respect until they prove otherwise.
Think back to five years ago. Did you envision your career as it is today?
Probably as I am doing the same job now as then, which I have been enormously grateful to be a part of Alex Surf Club which gives me an opportunity to be a part of a good community organisation.
How do you approach work – life balance?
Probably not well, I tend to sweat the little stuff, so will go to work to make sure someone has emptied the bins in the park, a lesson to pass on to others family should always be first, work will be more fulfilling.
What is your proudest moment in your career?
I regularly have them which is a gift from my employer, it is immensely rewarding working with young people and the young at heart. I guess my proudest moment is a multiple of the people I have seen grow into great employees some great athletes but more importantly great human beings.
