What was your first job?

When I was 14, I started working at the local Main Beach surf shop at the Sunshine Plaza.

Who are the people that have made the biggest difference in your career and why?

This has changed along the way… sometimes it would be my parents or a valued employee…it could be an auctioneer or an accountant, a coach or my husband.

I’ve always felt confident that I have people around me who I trust for great advice.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

“Don’t sweat the small stuff”… Unfortunately I’ve always been someone who sweats the small stuff so trying not to is still a challenge for me today.

Think back to five years ago. Did you envision your career as it is today?

Yes, I did as I’m doing the same thing as I was then. I’m just not sure I would have known that we would have grown the team so much and that I would have had 2 more kids whilst doing it!

How do you approach work – life balance?

Thankfully I am an organised and efficient person which I think helps. Although I put in a lot of hours (still too many), I do feel that I get to do the things I want to with my family and still have a little bit of me time in there too.  It is always a constant challenge to fit everything in though and I am still mastering the art of saying ‘no’!

What is your proudest moment in your career?

Hard to pinpoint one achievement. I’m proud of the team and their individual achievements.

I’m proud of our awards such as: REIQ Large Residential Agency of the year 2017 continuously being the top agent on the Sunshine Coast for Rate My Agent (which is entirely from client reviews).

I’m proud to have been named in some of the Coast’s lists such as Wonder Women of Power and Influence, Most Powerful People and Most Influential People but ultimately I’m most proud of being a mum and being able to own and run a successful business at the same time.
